The Dark Knight has done a lot to help boost the popularity of online ticket purchasing.

On MovieTickets.com, the film sold over 1 million tickets from Thursday to Sunday and and it set four all-time records between Friday and Sunday, including single-day and opening-weekend records site-wide and for a single film.

The highly successful flick is already the site's No. 4 ticket seller of all-time despite being so new to theaters.
