After being named the Best Film of 2008 last week by the National Board of Review, Fox Searchlight's Slumdog Millionaire has been given the same honor by the Washington, DC Area Film Critics Association.
The indie flick now has a lot of momentum heading into what will be a big week for awards. Both the New York Film Critics Association and the Los Angeles Film Critics Association will be announcing their winners and the Golden Globe nominations will be announced on Thursday.

Best Art Direction: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button /Paramount
