on February 04, 2014

The Chinese box office registered a record-setting $41 million during the first day of the Lunar New Year holiday, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Reality TV adaptation Dad, Where are We Going? has now grossed over $50 million after recording a second place finish over the weekend with a $34 million haul.

Other top domestic earners during the holiday include the crime/comedy caper The Man from Macau ($15.5M) and romantic comedy Ace in the Hole ($4.3M).
