Smaug is currently outpacing its predecessor in China by 74%.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug has grossed a total of $637.1 million overseas.

 

'Frozen' Becomes Top Disney/Pixar Release in China on February 25, 2014

Frozen is the fourth highest industry animated release of all time in China.

'Beijing Love Story' Charms U.S. Audiences in Limited Release on February 17, 2014

Beijing Love Story translated to a strong opening weekend in North America for specialty distributor China Lion. The film earned $128k from a limited release in 9 screens over its first three days in the market following a Valentine's Day premiere. Beijing Love Story was released day-and-date with China.
