Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted took in $5.03 million on Tuesday to lead the daily box office for an eleventh consecutive day. The 3D computer animated sequel from Paramount and DreamWorks Animation was up a healthy 15 percent over Monday and down 29.5 percent from last Tuesday. Daily grosses for Madagascar 3 should remain strong throughout the rest of the midweek in the days before Disney's Brave hits the marketplace on Friday. Madagascar 3 has grossed a stronger than expected $128.42 million in twelve days, placing it 2 percent ahead of the pace of last year's Cars 2.

Fox's Prometheus held steady in second place with $2.51 million. The Ridley Scott directed 3D sci-fi film fell a slim 1 percent from Monday and 50 percent from last Tuesday. That represented one of the day's poorer daily holds among wide releases, as Prometheus likely took a bigger hit from Game 4 of the NBA Finals than most other films yesterday. While it has been front-loaded thus far, Prometheus has still grossed a solid $94.43 million through twelve days of release.

Snow White and the Huntsman was up 10 percent and one spot over Monday to claim third with $1.908 million. The big-budget adaptation from Universal was down 36 percent from last Tuesday. The 19-day total for Snow White and the Huntsman stands at $125.71 million, which places the film 2 percent ahead of the pace of last year's X-Men: First Class.

Fellow new releases Sony's That's My Boy and Warner's Rock of Ages continued to struggle on Tuesday. That's My Boy was down 5 percent and one spot from Wednesday to take fourth with $1.904 million, while Rock of Ages was up 13 percent to remain in fifth with $1.796 million. Respective five-day grosses for That's My Boy and Rock of Ages stand at disappointing totals of $17.73 million and $17.82 million.
