Oblivion took second place again with another $1.176 million on Wednesday. The Tom Cruise sci-fi actioner is trending 23.5 percent behind Mission: Impossible III and 28.8 percent ahead of Jack Reacher through 20 days of release. Oblivion's domestic cume is now $69.24 million.
Lionsgate reports a Wednesday gross of $621,086 for The Big Wedding. The timely comedy has struggled out of the gate with a $9.76 million domestic tally after six days. That figure puts the film 27.1 percent behind the pace of last year's The Five-Year Engagement.
Meanwhile, Warner Bros.' 42 continues to exhibit solid staying power as the film took in another $688,192 yesterday. Week-to-week, the Jackie Robinson biopic was down 36.9 percent. The film's domestic tally of $71.4 million puts it 38.5 percent ahead of Moneyball through the same period.
