Sony reports that American Hustle earned $5.445 million yesterday, up 25 percent from its $4.36 million Tuesday. Hustle's cumulative gross now stands at $72.96 million.
Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues posted a 61 percent increase on New Year's Day for $4.87 million. The sequel has earned $95.45 million domestically as it prepares to cross the $100 million benchmark.
Disney's Saving Mr. Banks rang up $4.18 million yesterday, a 6 percent improvement over Tuesday's earnings. Banks has grossed an estimated $48.3 million to date.
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty grabbed $4.06 million on Wednesday, up 22 percent from Tuesday. Fox's dramedy from Ben Stiller has totaled $35.54 million so far.
WB's Grudge Match posted $2.24 million yesterday. Its domestic total through seven days is $18.48 million.
