Wednesday Morning Update (8:23 a.m. PT): Avatar has reached slightly more than $601 million domestically, which means that it has topped Titanic's $600.8 million unadjusted gross.

Monday Afternoon Update (4:02 p.m. PT): 20th Century Fox is reporting that 80.7 percent-nearly $480.8 million-of Avatar's $595,752,416 domestic gross is from 3D showings. That figure includes IMAX presentations.

About 70 percent of the sci-fi epic's international haul has come from 3D showings, which equates to approximately $1.02 billion of the film's $1.45 billion international take.

Sunday Morning Update (10:35 a.m. PT): 20th Century Fox is reporting that Avatar grossed $95 million from 11,327 screens in 120 countries this weekend, which pushes the sci-epic past the $2 billion mark worldwide.

Fox estimates that just under 75 percent of the film's gross has come from 3D showings, which would equate to less than $1.5 billion. An official figure will be released on Monday.

Tuesday Morning Update (11:39 a.m. PT): 20th Century Fox has released Monday's worldwide numbers, giving Avatar a cume of $1,858,866,889. That's nearly $16 million more than Titanic's unadjusted cume of $1.843 billion.

Fox also revealed that $1.35 billion has come from 3D showings.

Tuesday Morning Update (10:37 a.m. PT): With the addition of Monday's domestic grosses, Avatar has reached a worldwide haul of at least $1,842,981,691. Titanic's worldwide unadjusted gross is $1.843 billion. While Fox has not released any official worldwide numbers yet for Monday, it's safe to say that the unadjusted record now belongs to Avatar.

Sunday Morning Update (10:34 a.m. PT): 20th Century Fox is now reporting that Avatar has passed Titanic's international haul. The sci-fi epic posted $107 million abroad this weekend, which puts its tally at $1.288 billion. Titanic's is $1.242 billion. This also marks the sixth weekend in a row that Avatar's international numbers reached $100 million.

Factoring in this weekend's domestic estimates, Avatar's worldwide haul is currently $1,840,797,418. Titanic's unadjusted take is $1.842 billion, which means that Avatar will easily topple it on Monday.

Sunday (1/17) Morning Update (11:42 a.m. PT): 20th Century Fox is now reporting that Avatar's international haul is an estimated $1.15 billion. The sci-fi epic posted $125 million abroad this weekend. With $76.5 million total in China, it's now the country's highest grossing film of all time after only 13 days. Cameron's epic also reached the #1 all-time spot in Korea with $69.4 million. As if those records weren't enough, the film set a new opening weekend record in Italy this weekend with $14.5 million.

Avatar's worldwide haul will be an estimated $1.606 billion by the end of Sunday.

Friday Morning Update (11:55 a.m. PT): According to 20th Century Fox, Avatar crossed the $1 billion international mark today. While no official number is available at this time, Avatar's worldwide haul has to equal at least $1,450,467,005 based on Thursday's domestic numbers.

Avatar is still quite a bit away from hitting the $1.84 billion unadjusted cume that Titanic was able to post after opening in December 1997.

20th Century Fox can count on another #1 weekend for Avatar since The Book of Eli and The Spy Next Door won't be strong enough to topple it.
