harry_potter_half_blood_prince.jpgOn November 21st, the sixth installment of the Harry Potter saga, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, will make its way to the big screen and USA Today has a bunch of exclusive pics from the film. Danielle Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint are joined once again by a supporting cast of veteran thesps that includes Helena Bonham Carter, Jim Broadbent, Julie Walters and Alan Rickman. The seventh book marked the final part of the story and it will be adapted into two films which will be released in November 2010 and May 2011.

Fincher To Produce Animated 'Goon' 3 Jul 2008 06:52 AM

davidfincher.jpgDavid Fincher, along with Dark Horse Entertainment and Blur Studios, is set to produce an CG-animated adaptation of a comicbook titled The Goon, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The creator of the comic, Eric Powell, is going to be able to adapt his own work into screenplay form. Fincher is currently doing post-production work on The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, which stars Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett and Tilda Swinton and is due in theatres on December 19th.

Kilmer, Xzibit Sign On For 'Bad Lieutenant' Remake 3 Jul 2008 06:37 AM

valkilmer.jpgVal Kilmer and the rapper Xzibit have signed on star in Werner Herzog's remake of 1992's Bad Lieutenant, according to Variety. Nicolas Cage and Eva Mendes have already been cast in the film, which is scripted by William Finkelstein. Kilmer can next be seen in Felon, which is due in theatres July 18th and Xzibit is featured in The X-Files: I Want To Believe.

After Page Six wrote that Robert Rodriguez and Rose McGowan had broken up, a representative for McGowan told People that the couple is still pushing forward with their planned projects and that their relationship is fine. The duo has been trying to get three flicks, Barbarella, Red Sonja and Woman in Chains!, off the ground with varied levels of success.

Brash, excessive and supremely inelegant, Hancock can be fun … if you like that sort of thing. The over-the-top action sequences easily rival the film’s most immediate competition (Wanted), but add a surprising edge—finally we have a black, cinematic superhero and he’s operating in a universe that’s very modern.
