Hindi-language grosses for Dhoom 3 slowed down in the film's third week after taking $3.1 million from 1,588 theaters. The record-breaking film has now grossed a total of $41.5 million in the Hindi-language version distributed across India.
Bollywood classic Sholay was re-released in 3D in 758 theaters, collecting $1.3 million in its new theatrical outing. It was enough of a gross to claim second place in India, edging out new release Mr. Joe B Carvalho which opened in 929 theaters for a $477k debut.

Dhoom 3 is the highest grossing Indian film of all time. The Bollywood sequel became the first film to officially cross the ₹500 Crores ($83.56M) mark worldwide.
