INDIA: 'Dhoom 3' Slows in Third Frame; 'Sholay 3D' Takes Second Place on January 10, 2014

dhoom3.pngHindi-language grosses for Dhoom 3 slowed down in the film's third week after taking $3.1 million from 1,588 theaters. The record-breaking film has now grossed a total of $41.5 million in the Hindi-language version distributed across India. 

Bollywood classic Sholay was re-released in 3D in 758 theaters, collecting $1.3 million in its new theatrical outing.  It was enough of a gross to claim second place in India, edging out new release Mr. Joe B Carvalho which opened in 929 theaters for a $477k debut.

'Dhoom 3' Hits $83M, Becomes Biggest Bollywood Film of All Time on January 07, 2014

Grosses for the film continue to climb. Dhoom 3 has already earned a huge $58.55 million in India and another $25.01 million in other territories around the world. The top individual territories for Dhoom 3 outside of India are:

INDIA: 'Dhoom 3' Reaches $38M on January 03, 2014

dhoom3.pngDhoom 3 is on a roll in India. The sequel added another $10.2 million to bring its Hindi total to $38 million in India. The film posted a $1.7 million take in its second full week in release in North America, bringing its U.S. & Canada total up to $7.5 million. Dhoom 3 is the biggest Bollywood film of all time in North America.
