Aurangzeb opened in wide release and led all the domestic films in India during its premiere week, grossing $3.3 million across 1200 screens. Aurangzeb is the latest in a string of crime thrillers to succeed at the Indian box office. Aashiqui 2 had another strong showing, grossing $1.3 million in its fourth week, reaching a total of $12.6 million. The Relucatant Fundamentalist had a strong premiere in limited release, grossing $205,343 from 186 screens.

Rangeelay opened in 20 screens in North America last weekend and grossed $73,541. The Punjabi film fell behind similar openings from Goa Goa Gone ($177k) and Shootout at Wadala ($212k). Go Goa Gone reached a $270,139 cume in North America after a strong $53,058 third weekend in release. Shootout at Wadala fell 50% from the previous weekend, taking in only $8,938 for a $365,733 North American cume.
Iron Man 3 reached a $12 million cumulative total in India, a comparable gross to the performance of domestic film Aashiqui 2. The latest entry in the Iron Man franchise has proved popular with Indian audiences despite not grossing the headline-grabbing numbers it has achieved in other global markets.
Go Goa Gone opened in 1135 screens this week with a $3.9 million gross to top the Indian box office among domestic films. Two sequels, Aashiqui 2 and Shootout at Wadala, placed in second and third place respectively. Aashiqui 2 held for a strong $2 million during its third week, reaching an $11.5 million cume. Shootout at Wadala grossed $1.9 million to take its total to $9.2 million.

The crime thriller grossed $61, 604, only $3,000 less than its performance the previous weekend. Shootout at Wadala has grossed a cume of $338,433 in North America.
