UPDATED: 'The Amazing Spider-Man' Reaches $521.3 Million Worldwide

Sunday Update: Sony reports that The Amazing Spider-Man took in another $66.6 million this weekend internationally, pushing its cume abroad to $320.4 million. The worldwide total is $521.3 million.

Wednesday Update:
Sony reports that The Amazing-Spider Man will hit $400 million today. The superhero flick is headed for a healthy sophomore frame domestically thanks to strong word of mouth.

Sunday Morning Update:
Sony reports that The Amazing Spider-Man has tallied a whopping $341.2 million worldwide.

Saturday Morning Update:
Sony reports that The Amazing Spider-Man took in $20.7 million on Friday, pushing its domestic cume to $95.7 million.

Friday Morning Update:
Sony is reporting that The Amazing Spider-Man took in an estimated $15.8 million on Thursday. The three-day total for The Amazing Spider-Man stands at $75.0 million. The actual gross for Thursday will be reported later today.

Thursday Afternoon Update: Sony is reporting actual grosses for The Amazing Spider-Man of $35,016,884 for Tuesday and $23,335,925 for Wednesday.  The film earned an additional $850,000 from pre-midnight screenings in Canada on Monday night, which is not being counted towards Tuesday's opening day gross.  The domestic cume through the end of Wednesday stands at $59,202,809.

Thursday Morning Update: Sony reports that The Amazing Spider-Man took in $23.4 million on Wednesday.  Sony has also revised Tuesday's opening day gross upwards to $35.85 million.  The two-day start for The Amazing Spider-Man stands at $59.25 million.

Wednesday Update: Sony reports that The Amazing Spider-Man is off to a strong start with $35 million on Tuesday. An official number will come in later today.

Tuesday Update:
Sony reports that The Amazing Spider-Man is off to a decent start with $7.5 million from midnight shows at a total of 3,150 locations, $1.2 million of which came from 300 IMAX locations. Comparable midnight openings include Iron Man 2 ($7.5 million) and Paranormal Activity 3 ($8 million).

    Way to go Spidey! Knew The Amazing Spiderman would reach far beyond $100 million in the first week. Spiderman made more on Tuesday than Savages will cough up in its domestic run.

    You never the box office tides, as word of mouth can energize a movie. We just have to wait and see how Savages responds tonight. Spiderman is winning with ease.
