It's great that you guys reported TASM & TDKR opening day numbers in China, but it would have been nice if you gave "The Avengers" the same kind of respect when it opened in Japan last week and reported it's numbers there which you failed or either cared not to do. Oh well, since we're at it will China finally start showing us their updated box office reports since they stopped doing it June 3rd, i sure hope so.

I agree. As a matter of fact you guys still haven't given a update for the Avengers release in Japan. What's up with that...But thats ok, because TDKR may not even make 500m in this country.

The Avengers is currently at 28 million in Japan, if you didn't know. TDKR definitely won't cross 500m domestically. I think it would have just barely crossed that if not for the Aurora tragedy.

Its no surprise that TASM is beating TDKR in China, considering that TASM is ONLY released in 3D and IMAX 3D in China.... and furthermore all 3 previous spider-man films were released in China, while none of Nolan's batman films were ever released in China....

I mean Batman(at least in terms of films) is pretty much unknown in China... plus its release date there is only announced 2 weeks before, so the publicity efforts there were pretty much non-existence.

Will see how word-of-mouth can allow TDKR to challenge TASM in China's weekend box-office for the top position.

What do you think?
