ITALY: 'Scary Movie 5' Scores in Italy

The fifth entry in the horror spoof franchise beat out the premiere of Olympus Has Fallen ($1.6 million) and the second week of Tom Cruise's Oblivion ($1.3 million) to take the top spot in a weekend with four new releases.

Four Italian films made the top ten, including the debut of Passione Sinistra which averaged a respectable $2,031 per-screen. Ci Vediamo Domaniwas the highest grossing domestic film over the weekend, grossing $552,732 in 283 screens. Benvenuto Presidente! still owns the record for highest cumulative gross among Italian films currently in release with $10.5 million over five weeks.
