GERMANY: 'White House Down' Opens with $3M

White House Down took in $3 million from its German debut, catapulting Roland Emmerich's latest action spectacle to first place. White House Down doubled the lifetime total of Olympus Has Fallen in Germany in its opening weekend. The key factor in the head-to-head result comes down to a much wider release for Roland Emmerich's film, which opened across 649 screens.
We're the Millers dropped 26% to gross $1.6 million in its second weekend. The ensemble comedy has grossed a total of $4.7 million. Planes suffered a steeper drop in its sophomore frame, falling 40% for a $1.1 million weekend and $3.5 million cume.
