Universal's Neighbors grossed $3.56 million on Thursday to lead the daily box office for a seventh consecutive, and final, day. The modestly budgeted comedy starring Seth Rogen, Zac Efron and Rose Byrne was down 3 percent from Wednesday. That represented a very solid daily hold, especially when considering the strong evening launch of Warner's Godzilla on Thursday night. Neighbors exceeded expectations this week with a very strong first place seven-day start of $65.53 million. That places the film 42 percent ahead of the $46.22 million seven-day take of 2007's Knocked Up.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 held steady in second place with $1.94 million. Sony's expensive 3D superhero sequel was down 6 percent from Wednesday and down 46 percent from last Thursday. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 placed in second for the week with $44.67 million. That was down a hefty, but largely expected, 60 percent from the film's opening week performance and brings the film's two week-total to $155.37 million. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 continues to perform on the low end of pre-release expectations.

Fox's The Other Woman took in $0.810 million to remain in third place. The comedy starring Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann and Kate Upton was up a healthy 4 percent over Wednesday and down just 27 percent from last Thursday. The Other Woman finished in third for the week with $12.88 million. That was down 33 percent from the previous frame and brings the film's three-week total to a stronger than expected $65.36 million.

Sony's Heaven is for Real claimed fourth place with $0.512 million. The successful faith-based drama fell 1 percent from Wednesday and was down a slim 16 percent from last Thursday, as the film continues to benefit from strong word of mouth. Heaven is for Real placed in fourth this week with $9.63 million. That was down only 15 percent from the previous week and brings the film's 30-day total to an impressive $77.85 million.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier rounded out the day's unchanged top five with $0.403 million. The blockbuster 3D superhero sequel from Disney fell 4 percent from Wednesday and a healthy 21 percent from last Thursday. With a 42-day take of $246.87 million, Captain America: The Winter Solider is now just $3.13 million away from reaching the $250 million domestic mark.
