Transformers: Age of Extinction took in $4.77 million on Monday to lead the daily box office for an eleventh consecutive day. The fourth installment of Paramount's blockbuster sci-fi action franchise was down 59 percent from Sunday and down 55 percent from last Monday. Transformers: Age of Extinction surpassed the $180 million mark yesterday and has now grossed $180.17 million through eleven days of release. That is in line with the film's lofty pre-release expectations, but also places the film 27 percent behind the $247.15 million eleven-day gross of 2011's Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

Warner's Tammy claimed second place for the day with $2.78 million. The Melissa McCarthy comedy vehicle was down 57 percent from Sunday's performance. While it is running a bit below expectations, Tammy has still grossed a very solid $36.09 million in six days (especially with its modest price tag in mind). That places the film 34.5 percent behind the $55.09 million six-day start of last year's The Heat (which opened on a Friday).

It continued to be a very tight race for places third through sixth on Monday, with only $257,477 separating third place from sixth place. Sony's 22 Jump Street took third place for the day with $1.55 million. The successful action comedy sequel starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum fell 50 percent from Sunday and 36.5 percent from last Monday. 22 Jump Street surpassed the $160 million mark yesterday and has grossed an impressive $160.82 million in 25 days.

How to Train Your Dragon 2 placed in fourth with $1.45 million. The 3D computer animated sequel from Fox and DreamWorks Animation was down 47 percent from Sunday and down 36 percent from last Monday. The 25-day total for How to Train Your Dragon 2 stands at an underwhelming $141.66 million.

Sony's Deliver Us from Evil followed closely behind in fifth with $1.43 million. The crime horror film starring Eric Bana fell 54 percent from Sunday. The six-day total for Deliver Us from Evil stands at softer than expected $16.68 million, as the horror marketplace continues to wait for a breakout performance in 2014.

Earth to Echo landed in sixth place with $1.29 million. The adventure family film from Relativity held up nicely for the day, as it was down 49 percent from Sunday. Earth to Echo has grossed $14.86 million in six days, as it continues to perform slightly below its already modest expectations and very similar to the performance of Deliver Us from Evil.
