'Prometheus' Director Ridley Scott to Chat Live With Guests of AMC Theatres and 20th Century Fox and Premiere the Movie's New Trailer at AMCTheatres.com on March 08, 2012

Kansas City, Mo. -- AMC Theatres® and Twentieth Century Fox are excited to announce that fans eagerly anticipating legendary filmmaker Ridley Scott's PROMETHEUS, will have an opportunity to see a Livestream Q&A featuring Sir Ridley and PROMETHEUS co-screenwriter and executive producer Damon Lindelof at go.amctheatres.com/prometheus on Saturday, March 17 at 4 p.m. PDT (7 p.m. EDT). Following the Q&A, the newest PROMETHEUS trailer will premiere on AMC Theatres' website.

Additionally, AMC Stubs members in the Los Angeles area have the exclusive opportunity to join Scott and Lindelof in person for their Q&A session, which takes places at AMC Downtown Disney 12 in Anaheim, Calif., on Saturday, March 17 at 4 p.m. PDT.

TIM BURTON’S 'FRANKENWEENIE' TO BE RELEASED IN IMAX 3D ON OCTOBER 5 on March 06, 2012

Los Angeles, CA -- IMAX Corporation (NYSE:IMAX; TSX:IMX) and The Walt Disney Studios today announced that Tim Burton's stop-motion, animated film, Frankenweenie will be digitally re-mastered into the immersive IMAX® 3D format and released in IMAX® digital theatres worldwide day-and-date on Oct. 5, 2012. The film marks the first black and white Hollywood feature and first stop-motion animated movie to be presented in IMAX.

From Disney and directed by Tim Burton, Frankenweenie: An IMAX 3D Experience features the voices of Catherine O'Hara, Martin Short and Winona Ryder. The film is a remake of the live-action short directed by Tim Burton in 1984.

"IMAX has a long-standing relationship with Tim Burton, whose unique artistic vision and brilliant storytelling has captured the imagination of audiences around the world," said Greg Foster, Chairman and President of IMAX Filmed Entertainment. "We're excited to add Frankenweenie as the second Tim Burton feature in our 2012 film slate, providing IMAX audiences a distinctive new way to experience animation."

The IMAX release of Frankenweenie will be digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX 3D Experience® with proprietary IMAX DMR® (Digital Re-mastering) technology. The crystal-clear images coupled with IMAX's customized theatre geometry and powerful digital audio create a unique environment that will make audiences feel as if they are in the movie.
