The combination of Manolos, cosmopolitans and couture proved to be a strong cocktail on the big screen over the weekend. MovieTickets.com, the world's most powerful Internet movie ticketing service, reports Sex and the City: The Movie ranks No. 16 on its list of top performing films of all-time.

"The past weekend was notable for movie-going in general," said Joel Cohen, executive vice president and general manager, MovieTickets.com. "Any time online ticketing can contribute upwards of 30% of the opening weekend box office for any one particular title -- the value of the services we provide are really showcased."

The love-affair with the fearsome female foursome doesn't stop there. MovieTickets.com surveyed more than 16,000 moviegoers who saw Sex and the City over the weekend. Of those surveyed, 92 percent ranked the chick flick as excellent/very good.
