After three critical and commercial disappointments in a row— The Village, Lady in the Water and The Happening —writer/director M. Night Shyamalan is going to take on an established property with The Last Airbender. The film will be the first of three planned projects based on the popular Nickelodeon cartoon Avatar: The Last Airbender. The teaser trailer for the film, which opens on July 2, 2010, is now available online.
