Teen sensation Miley Cyrus may make an appearance (most likely as herself) in the upcoming Sex and the City sequel. Word is that the singer will appear on the red carpet in the same outfit as Kim Catrall's Samantha character, and the pair will confront one another. Catrall and co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon are currently shooting the sequel (with Michael Patrick King again assuming writing and directing duties) in New York City and Morocco.

Last year, the long-delayed Sex and the City film finally came to fruition with all four stars and the series' creator on board after numerous reports and rumors of cast in-fighting and salary disputes. The movie scored a surprising $152.6 million at the domestic box office, and New Line was quick to greenlight a sequel and usher it into production. Sex and the City 2 is currently scheduled to open on May 28, 2010. Davis can also be seen with Vince Vaughn, Jon Favreau and Kristen Bell in Couples Retreat, which opens on October 9th.
