Van Sant, Ellis Set to Join Forces

Gus Van Sant and Bret Easton Ellis have decided to team up for a screenplay about Theresa Duncan and Jeremy Blake, two young artists who committed suicide in 2007. Van Sant has not officially signed on to direct the project.

Van Sant is fresh off the success of Milk, which won him a Best Director nomination at the Academy Awards. As for Ellis, he recently tried his at adapting his own novel, The Informants. Despite boasting an all-star cast, Informants was trashed by critics and it died a quick death in theaters.
