Jolie, Scott Circle Fashion Flick

Ridley Scott is reportedly in discussions with Angelina Jolie about a new project that would deal with the Gucci fashion dynasty, which was filled with murder and deceit. If Jolie signs on she would play Patrizia Reggiano, a woman who received 29 years in jail for plotting the murder of her ex-husband, Maurizio Gucci.

Jolie recently committed to starting in The Tourist, while Scott is kicking around several projects including a new Aliens film as well as a film adaptation of the board game Monopoly.

The fashion world seems to be a ripe topic for cinematic ventures these days. The September Issue, R.J. Cutler's documentary about Vogue magazine, has won critical praise in addition to grossing a respectable $3.35 million domestically.
