The director is avoiding jail for the time being

Roman Polanski isn't exactly roughing it now that's he's been permitted to leave jail and be on house arrest. The famous director is staying at his chalet in the Alpine village of Gstaad until it is decided whether or not the Swiss will extradite him back to the United States in order to face charges for having sex with a 13-year-old girl more than 30 years ago.
Polanski had to fork over a whopping $4.5 million in order to get out of jail. As a result, the director will need
The Ghost, his new project with Ewan McGregor and Pierce Brosnan, to do well at the box office. Polanski is currently in the post production stage on that film.
