Tuesday Morning Update: Killing Them Softly began its week with 475 tweets and 0.59% market share to land at #16 on the day amongst the upcoming openers. The film is aiming for older audiences, and while the genre would normally skew pretty heavily male, the presence of Brad Pitt won't hurt it amongst the female demographic. By comparison, Drive had 535 tweets on its Monday before release on its way to 3,333 tweets and a 828 ratio. With this yardstick in mind it is going to be in line for a solid if unspectacular opening in the region of ~$10 million if it continues on this course.
