Kansas City, Mo. -- Beginning March 1, AMC Theatres will acquire the current Laemmle Fallbrook 7 at the Fallbrook Center in West Hills, Calif., and, after a few days of transition work, the location will reopen as AMC's 29th theatre in the greater Los Angeles area. AMC is also teaming with the Fallbrook Center to bring changes to AMC Fallbrook 7 that will leave guests excited to come back, again and again.

"We already have a strong presence in the area, but we're very excited at the opportunity to not only add to the AMC family in the area, but to turn this theatre into one of the nicest in the country," said Mark McDonald, Executive Vice President of Development at AMC. "We also understand there's a passionate group of guests who have loyally relied on this location, and we're looking forward to meeting the needs of the current guests while welcoming in new guests through our programming and amenities."

When finished, the theatre will feature state-of-the-art sound and digital projectors, stadium-style seating and guests will watch the newest releases in luxury, as every seat in the theatre will be a power recliner with footrest. In addition, guests can enjoy an expanded concession menu, including better-for-you items and Coca-Cola Freestyle machines, which offer more than 120 drink options.

"We are honored that AMC has chosen the Fallbrook Center to extend its presence in the Los Angeles area and will continue to be a destination for film enthusiasts," said Daniyel John, senior manager of Fallbrook Center and Northridge Fashion Center. "AMC and the Fallbrook Center both share a vision to providing our communities with an exceptional experience and the AMC Fallbrook 7 will be an ideal addition to the center."

Construction will begin this spring and the theatre will remain open during the renovations, which should be complete later this year.
