Basingstoke -- One of Turkey's most prestigious cinema chains, CINEMApink, is converting all of its screens to state of the art digital 4K with help from Sony Digital Cinema. All existing 113 CINEMApink screens will be equipped with Sony's 4K digital projection systems and theatre management systems (TMS) in the coming months. The agreement also includes the installation of 25 Sony Digital Cinema 3D systems.

CINEMApink will feature Sony Digital Cinema 4K on all future screens, including two new complexes to be opened before the end of 2013. With true 4K projection by Sony and their unique concept that every CINEMApink seat is a VIP seat in every auditorium, CINEMApink will deliver a new definition of a high end cinema experience, way beyond Turkish country borders.

CINEMApink and Sony's accredited Solutions Specialist dcinex have reached a comprehensive arrangement, which includes all existing and future venues throughout Turkey. The installation means that CINEMApink can provide customers with the best image quality currently available in the industry, creating the ultimate viewing experience for their audiences.

Selim Yavuzoglu, CEO, CINEMApink, commented: "We are very excited about the installation of the Sony 4K digital projector systems at CINEMApink. Our customers will be getting the very best cinema experience and can now enjoy the content with crystal clear picture quality and immersive sound."

Oliver Pasch, Sales Director Digital Cinema, Sony Europe, commented: "Sony is delighted to partner with CINEMApink to help build on its great reputation in the Turkish market for delivering the best possible cinema experience to its customers. With 4K technology becoming mainstream, this investment by CINEMApink will future proof itself and ensure it stays ahead of the industry by installing true 4K quality projectors across their venues. It's simply a perfect match between what Sony 4K means and what CINEMApink deliver to their audiences, which is a premium cinema experience."

Serge Plasch, Chief Executive Officer of dcinex, commented: "dcinex will support CINEMApink with the installation and technical support of this significant roll-out. All screens will also be connected to our central NOC in our Liège head office. For dcinex group this is a very important milestone towards our expansion on the Turkish market".
