Mobile Tickets Sales Increased 30% Year-over-Year and Accounted for 42% of Total Ticket Sales in November
LOS ANGELES (November 29, 2013) -- Fandango, the nation's leading moviegoer destination, announced that it has set a new record in November for the most tickets sold in a single month.
Enhanced products and services like paperless mobile ticket scanning, reserved seating expansion and new platforms apps, plus new exhibitor partnerships and distribution deals, have generated significant momentum for the company. Together with hits like The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Thor: The Dark World, Frozen, and The Best Man Holiday, Fandango has delivered a record-breaking month, more than 12% above the previous record. Fandango also experienced a 13% increase in monthly visits to its site and mobile apps year over year.

The company continues to be a leader in the mobile space, with more than 42% of Fandango's ticket sales deriving from its mobile site and apps in November, and a 30% increase in mobile ticket sales year-over-year.
Fandango's previous top-selling month, November 2012, saw the opening of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2, Wreck-It Ralph, Skyfall, Lincoln, and Life of Pi, along with other hits playing at that time.
