LOS ANGELES - January 23, 2014 - According to Fandango, the nation's leading moviegoer destination, the Ice Cube-Kevin Hart buddy-cop comedy "Ride Along" is the company's new mobile ticket champ, with the highest percentage of Fandango tickets sold on mobile devices for a major release in its opening weekend. More than 65% of Fandango's "Ride Along" opening weekend tickets were sold on mobile, compared to 64% for Hart's previous release, "Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain," 60% for "Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa," 56% for "The Conjuring," and 55% for "Insidious 2."

"Ride Along" continues to drive all ticket sales on Fandango, scoring a still-hearty 79 out of 100 points on Fandango's Fanticipation movie buzz indicator in its second week of release. According to more than a thousand "Ride Along" ticket-buyers surveyed on Fandango:
· 94% say they are Kevin Hart fans;

· 87% claim they are Ice Cube fans;

· 83% indicate they are fans of buddy-cop movies;

· 64% picked Laurence Fishburne as the supporting actor they're most excited to see in the film.

On Fandango's movie recommendation show, "Weekend Ticket," Fandango Chief Correspondent Dave Karger interviews Aaron Eckhart, star of "I, Frankenstein," which opens this week. "I think Frankenstein's monster in cinematic history has always been looked at as a blockhead - he's cumbersome, and he's got the bolts," says Eckhart. "But if you go back and read Mary Shelley's ‘Frankenstein,' he's a very sensitive, articulate character." He adds, "It's a character with a lot of father issues." About Fandango's Fanticipation
Known for having its finger on the pulse of moviegoers, Fandango's movie buzz indicator, Fanticipation, provides statistical insight into the movies fans are planning to see in a given weekend. Fanticipation scores (based on a 1 to 100-point scale) are calculated via an algorithm of Fandango's advance ticket sales, website and mobile traffic, and social media engagement. Fanticipation is not intended as a forecast of the weekend box office; it is a snapshot of movie fan sentiment.
