Fandango and Cinemark Theatres Extend Exclusive Agreement for Online and Mobile Movie Ticketing

LAS VEGAS/CINEMACON - March 24, 2014 - Fandango, the nation's leading moviegoer destination, announced today it has signed a multi-year contract extension with Cinemark USA, Inc., one of the world's leading theater circuits, to serve as the exclusive third-party online and mobile ticketing partner for Cinemark's 4,400 U.S. screens. The renewal solidifies Fandango's position as the nation's top online and mobile movie ticket seller, serving 22,000 screens across the country - nearly 80 percent of theaters in the U.S. with advance online ticketing capabilities.

Cinemark has rolled out Fandango's Mobile Ticket option at more than 4,000 of its U.S. screens. It has proven to be a valued convenience to Cinemark moviegoers looking to save time and paper, by enabling their phones to be scanned by theater ticket-takers.

Fandango is coming off a record-breaking year in 2013, with record-high ticket sales, web and mobile traffic, and app downloads. The rapid growth was propelled by a dramatic 57% increase in mobile ticket sales. In addition, as Fandango has become an everyday convenience and go-to movie experience for consumers, the company's ticket sales post-opening weekend have increased by 15% year-over-year and now represent almost half of Fandango's total ticket sales.
