MJR Troy Grand Digital Cinema 16 to open it’s doors 6/20/14

mjrdigitalcinemas.pngBloomfield Hills, June 11th , 2014 -MJR Digital Cinemas today announced their anxiously awaited TroyGrand Digital Cinema 16 is opening Friday June 20th, 2014. MJR's newest theatre located at 100 E. Maple Rd. at the corner of Maple Rd. and Livernois in the city of Troy, will house 16 screens with 3200 seats in 74,000 square feet, and will bring 70 new jobs to the area. MJR expects to draw over 800,000 patrons per year to the site.

The MJR Troy Grand in addition to having all the amenities you have come to love at MJR, including a high definition digital preview screen in the lobby showing continuous movie previews, five auditoriums equipped to show movies in the high definition 3-D format, MJR's free refill policy on pop and popcorn, and their free, patron friendly, Movie Rewards Program. This MJR $18.0 million dollar project will have the MJR Epic ExperienceTM in one of the 16 auditoriums. This large 460 seat auditorium will feature an 80 x 44 foot screen, over stuffed, wide bodied chairs with 56 inch spacing of legroom. The Dolby Atmos sound system will have 60 speakers and offer the clearest and most crisp sound. This will be the best and most unique movie experience in Michigan.

In addition this theatre will feature the MJR Studio Bar in the lobby, where you can enjoy a beverage or take it to your seat.

All auditoriums will offer CaptiView Closed Caption Viewing System for the hearing impaired. They will also feature the Fidelio wireless audio system that delivers descriptive narration for the visually impaired.

MJR CEO and Founder Michael Mihalich expressed how happy he is to be part of the Troy community and to bring such a state of the art venue to this community. Mihalich also said . "I expect the MJR Epic Experience to be superior to any other existing movie watching experience currently available in the Detroit metro area, and perhaps in the whole Midwest.

This will put MJR's screen count at 148 screens in 9 locations.
