Russell Crowe will star alongside RZA in a kung fu flick titled The Man With the Iron Fist. RZA is also directing the project, which is being housed at Universal with a modest $20 million budget.

Crowe will be seen this fall opposite Liam Neeson and Elizabeth Banks in The Next Three Days from director Paul Haggis.

Rave Motion Pictures chief Thomas Stephenson will receive the Show E Award for Career Achievement at the final Awards Gala on October 14. The exhibition convention begins on October 11 at the Orlando World Marriott Center.

Stephenson founded Rave in 1999, and the chain currently represents 61 theaters and 918 screens nationwide.

Warner Bros. is poised to get into the mob business again. The studio has scooped up the rights to a screenplay about Al Capone's origins by scribe Walon Green (The Wild Bunch).

Capone will be portrayed by Stephen Graham is HBO's highly anticipated new show, Boardwalk Empire. Warner Bros. is obviously expecting a surge of interest in the legendary mobster.

Robert De Niro also famously played Capone to great acclaim in Brian DePalma's The Untouchables.

Talk about a mafia movie fan's dream come true. Al Pacino and Joe Pesci are reportedly circling roles in I Heard You Paint Houses, a new Irish mob flick that Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro are developing. The project is being housed at Paramount.

Scorsese is currently busy working on Hugo Cabret, his first 3D flick. Meanwhile, De Niro is committed to Manuale d'amore 3, in which he'll speak Italian. Pacino will next be seen in The Son of No One with Channing Tatum. Pesci recently starred in Taylor Hackford's Love Ranch, but he has no new projects lined up at this time.
