When audiences see Iron Man 2 this weekend, one of the trailers they'll be seeing is a first look teaser for J.J. Abrams' top-secret production, reportedly titled Super 8.

The Star Trek helmer (who is only producing the project, not directing) has managed to keep Super 8 under wraps through the conception and production of the trailer, all the way through to the final months and weeks leading up to the superhero sequel. Abrams hopes to create a sensation similar to the one surrounding Cloverfield; audiences no doubt remember the mysterious teaser attached to the first Transformers film back in 2007, with the date 1-18-08 instead of a title card fueling weeks of subsequent buzz and speculation.

Early rumors say that Super 8 is actually a sequel to Cloverfield, but the spot is currently being sent to theaters in locked film canisters that cannot be opened until Thursday evening. Expect to hear plenty more about Super 8 after Iron Man 2 opens in US theaters in less than 72 hours.

spielbergnews2.pngAfter making such definitive World War II movies as Saving Private Ryan and Schindler's List, Steven Spielberg is set to focus on World War I. The Oscar-winning helmer will adapt Michael Morpurgo's novel War Horse for theaters.

The film will focus on a boy who is separated from his favorite horse during the conflict.

War Horse will be distributed by Disney and DreamWorks on August 10, 2011.

This decision obviously means that Spielberg's planned Abraham Lincoln biopic will take even longer to find its way to multiplexes.

While doing the rounds for his upcoming action film The Expendables, writer/director/star Sylvester Stallone revealed that the fourth Rambo sequel was no longer in the cards. "I think Rambo's pretty well done. I don't think there'll be any more. I'm about 99% sure," he says.

"I was going to do it," Stallone continues, referencing the initial word that the sequel might be an adaptation of a James Byron Huggins novel called Hunter, or a later rumor that had him rescuing a girl from across the border. "But for Rambo to go on another adventure might be, I think, misinterpreted as a mercenary gesture and not necessary. I don't want that to happen."

Instead, the star is working on a director's cut that would restore 12 minutes to Rambo, the previous installment, and turning his attention towards a follow-up to The Expendables, even though the film hasn't been released yet. "We are very serious," he says.

The Expendables, starring Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, and Eric Roberts, will hit theaters on August 13th, 2010, opposite Universal's highly-anticipated adaptation of Bryan Lee O'Malley's graphic novel Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. The Rambo director's cut is slated to arrive in stores on July 27th.

Jon Hamm ("Mad Men"), Dianne Wiest (The Birdcage), and Matt Lucas ("Little Britain", Alice in Wonderland) are saving the date for "Saturday Night Live" star Kristen Wiig's untitled wedding comedy.

The project, which Wiig co-wrote with first-time feature writer Annie Mumolo, centers on two women who fight for the opportunity to plan their friend's wedding party. Wiig plans to star, while IMDb reports that Maya Rudolph and Rose Byrne will co-star. No word on what roles each actor will be playing.

The film is being directed by Paul Feig and produced by Judd Apatow, who together famously created the cult television show "Freaks and Geeks" before Apatow became a box-office sensation. Apatow's last directorial effort, Funny People, was a critical success but an underperformer at the box office, grossing only $51.8 million domestically against a $75 million budget. He has several projects currently lined up in a producer capacity, including a film about Aziz Ansari's Funny People character "Randy".

The comedy is slated to open on May 12th, 2011.
