Hollywood, CA - D&E Entertainment in association with Banger Films, Anthem Entertainment and Zoe Vision proudly announce the documentary film Rush: Beyond The Lighted Stage will receive its US Digital Cinema theatrical campaign starting on June 10.

Directors Sam Dunn and Scot McFadyen (Metal: A Headbanger's Journey, Iron Maiden: Flight 666) embark on a comprehensive exploration of this extraordinary power trio, from their early days in Toronto, through each of their landmark albums, to the present day. Featuring never-before-seen archival footage and interviews with notables such as Jack Black, Billy Corgan, Trent Reznor, Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters), Kirk Hammett (Metallica) and Gene Simmons, this film explores the forty-year career and phenomenon behind what could be the world's biggest cult band.

The film won the Audience Choice Award at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival and has also received great press in Variety, Billboard, and Entertainment Weekly.

Rush: Beyond The Lighted Stage is theatrically distributed and marketed in the United States by D&E Entertainment and will premiere for a special run in over 100 digital cinemas starting June 10. Participating theatres include: Mann, Marcus, UltraStar, Clearview, Wehrenberg, Krikorian, Hollywood Theaters, Bow Tie, Emagine, Trademark, Rave, Studio Movie Grill, Kerasotes, Cleveland Cinemas, Patriot Cinemas, Belcourt, Megaplex, Malco, Cobb, Big Picture, Camera Cinemas, Celebration Cinemas, Allen Theatres, Santikos, Emagine, Harkins, Alamo Drafthouse, The Regent Theatre, and Showplace East Cinemas.

D&E has previously worked with Banger Films' Scot McFadyen and Sam Dunn in theatrically distributing and marketing their platinum DVD Iron Maiden: Flight 666.

Scot McFadyen: "We learned with our film Flight 666 that a digital theatrical release was a great way to get our film out on the big screen without the daunting expense of a sustained theatrical release. It was also a way to assure that the theatres would be filled with fans experiencing the film with great picture and sound. After all, watching a music film in a packed theatre is always the best way to experience it!"

"D&E Entertainment is very pleased to be working with Scot and Sam again as well as SRO-Anthem and Rounder in giving the critically-acclaimed Rush: Beyond The Lighted Stage the nationwide theatrical release it deserves. The film is an insightful and heartfelt look at Rush, a story that will appeal to fans of all genres of music and film. This is a perfect digital cinema collaboration of an independent film distributor working with award-winning filmmakers, consumers, and our digital theatre partners in creating a win-win situation for everyone," stated Evan Saxon and Doug Kluthe of D&E Entertainment.

Gemma Arterton (Prince of Persia) is reportedly the leading candidate to replace Megan Fox in Transformers 3. Meanwhile, Fox's camp is trying to spin things by releasing the following statement: "It was her decision not to return. She wishes the franchise the best."

Shia LaBeouf will have a new love interest in Transformers 3. Paramount will not pick up Megan Fox's option, and it is reportedly mostly Michael Bay's decision. The film is already pegged for July 1, 2011 release date.

Losing Fox probably won't have a negative impact on the film's receipts. There are plenty of Hollywood starlets who would kill to be part of such a lucrative property. At the very least, Bay should be able to find someone who doesn't compare him to Hitler.

Sonic has signed and installed systems across the United States as well as in Canada. Sonic's Sales and Installation teams work together, and with their customers, to provide site surveys, comprehensive quotes and timely installations using a variety of equipment manufacturers to keep up with customer demands.

Sonic has signed and/or installed equipment in a total of 14 states in the US, and notably their first location in Canada, since late in the year 2008. These locations range from Texas to Ohio, Florida to Minnesota, and from Kentucky to Tennessee. Those that have signed on to have their digital equipment provided and installed by Sonic Equipment, have also signed Sonic's customizable service contract to maintain and monitor their important investments.

"We were able to be aggressive with our sales and installation choices by preparing and training our staff for the digital rollout, before it arrived", said Sarah Noah, Sales Manager at Sonic. "We also built solid relationships with the Digital equipment manufacturers and with the studio's integrators", add Noah. Sonic has prepared for this increase in business by continually adding to both their sales, and install teams. Sonic now has over a dozen fully-trained install and service technicians and a full team of knowledgeable sales people to help with everything needed for a digital conversion or a complete remodel. "Many theatres are making the choice to upgrade in other areas of the theatre operation while converting from the old 35mm to digital", says Kaye Koonce, the newest member of the Sonic Sales Team. Kaye came to Sonic in April, having worked in the industry in Texas for the past several years.

"Sonic has always enjoyed the relationships it has with their long-time customers in the Midwest but would also like to congratulate some of their newest customers for making it through the process in converting to digital. "We have made new friends like Loyd and Linda Brigance and the Majestic Theatre in Greenville, Texas and Jim Lane at the Ideal and Avon theatres in Heber City, Utah. We thank you, and our 150th screen in the wonderful city of Vinton, IA, for choosing Sonic and look forward to serving you for many years", said Eric Olson, Director of Operations at Sonic Equipment Company.
