MORRISTOWN, N.J. -- Access Integrated Technologies, Inc.'s (AccessIT) subsidiary UniqueScreen Media, Inc. (USM) and Screenvision completed an agreement for Screenvision to sell national advertising on behalf of USM and its exhibitor customers. Under the agreement, Screenvision will hold exclusive national on-screen advertising sales rights for all of USM's advertising customers, including several thousand screens across 111 U.S. DMAs.

"We are delighted to expand our long standing relationship with Unique Screen Media and to be working with the Digital Cinema leader, AccessIT," said Darryl Schaffer, executive vice president of exhibitor relations for Screenvision. "This partnership will create more revenue opportunity for USM, Screenvision, and our respective exhibitor customers."

San Francisco — Dolby Laboratories, Inc. today announced that it has reduced the price of its reusable 3D glasses. Starting today, Dolby exhibitors can purchase new 3D glasses at a list price of US $27.50, reduced from US $39.00, making them even more cost-effective.

New York - It was announced today that Clark Woods, President, Domestic Theatrical Distribution for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. (MGM), will receive the 2008 Salah M. Hassanein Humanitarian Award at this year’s ShowEast convention. Woods will be awarded this distinguished honor on Thursday evening, October 16, 2008 at the Orlando World Center Marriott as part of the Final Night Banquet and Awards Ceremony at ShowEast, announced Mitch Neuhauser, Co-Managing Director of the annual convention.

“It is with great pride that we announce Clark Woods as the 2008 recipient of the Salah M. Hassanein Humanitarian Award,” noted Neuhauser. “It is absolutely amazing to think, that in addition to providing oversight of all aspects of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s expansion into theatrical distribution in North America, that he has the time and drive to champion charitable and philanthropic causes within the industry. This is an honor that is truly deserved.”

Woods joined MGM as President, Domestic Theatrical Distribution, in March of 2006. As a result of the revitalization and expansion initiative put forth under MGM Chairman Harry Sloan, MGM is in the process of transitioning from a third party distribution organization to a full fledged production entity capable of developing, producing, marketing and distributing a slate of superior content. As MGM currently ramps up production on new feature films under the supervision of Mary Parent, Chairman, Worldwide Motion Picture Group, Woods is charged with distributing the Studio’s new titles in the North American marketplace. Since joining MGM, Woods’ contributions include recruiting a new team of experienced distribution executives and guiding the successful release of MGM’s Rocky Balboa, the sixth and final Rocky film.

Prior to his current position, Woods was the Executive Vice President at Paramount Pictures. Woods served as a vital part of Paramount’s distribution team for over 25 years prior to joining MGM. In his career, Woods has spearheaded the distribution of such blockbuster and award-winning films as Raiders of the Lost Ark, Titanic, and War of the Worlds.

In addition to a stellar career in theatrical distribution, Woods has been a tireless volunteer for several industry charities. He is the past President of the Variety Club of Southern California, Tent 25 and a member of the Variety Lifeline Board.

Woods is also the current Treasurer of the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers and Vice President of Variety Club International and a member of the advisory board of his alma mater, the American University’s School of Communications.
