Los Angeles, CA -- IMAX Corporation (NASDAQ: IMAX; TSX: IMX), DreamWorks Animation and PDI/DreamWorks Production announce that Megamind, the animated film featuring the voice talent of Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Jonah Hill, Brad Pitt and David Cross, will be released to digital IMAX® 3D theatres this Friday, November 5. The film will open on 195 IMAX 3D screens domestically, simultaneously with its North American wide release. The film will also open on approximately 30 international IMAX screens over the course of the run, nine of which will open this week, and the remaining opening day and date in their respective territories.

Al Pacino will next appear alongside Ashley Green and Susan Sarandon in Arbitage, a financial thriller from Nicholas Jarecki. The Oscar-winner will play a hedge-fund manager trying to unload his trading empire before a major fraud is revelead.

The Oscar-winner will be seen opposite Adam Sandler in Jack and Jill in 2011. Pacino is also working on a Phil Spector biopic for director David Mamet.

Paramount will now send out True Grit to theaters on December 22 instead of December 25. The latest film from the Coen Brothers stars Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon and Hailee Steinfeld. The decision will allow the western to build some momentum before the Christmas holiday.

The Coens are coming off A Serious Man, which won critical raves but failed to connect with mainstream audiences. The Focus release only delivered $9.2 million domestically. It's a safe bet that True Grit will top that during its opening weekend alone.

Los Angeles, CA -- The International 3D Society announced today that Panasonic Corporation (NYSE:PC) will assume Co-chair of its Worldwide Education committee and become its official technology partner. In this capacity, Panasonic will provide 3D technology at instructional events produced by the International 3D Society in the USA, Europe, and Asia

The purpose of the program is to establish a curriculum of technical and creative coursework for video industry professionals in key production markets around the globe, as 3D technology is rapidly advancing. The International 3D Society's 3D University series has attracted over 700 professional participants in Los Angeles in its first nine weeks of the program.

The next 3D University class is Blu-ray Day on Saturday, November 6. The following month, on December 4, the 3D University will meet in Los Angeles for a program presented in association with the Producers Guild of America.

"Our primary mission is to provide education to 3D professionals. We thank Panasonic for their partnership which allows us to fulfill that commitment globally," remarked Jim Chabin, President of the International 3D Society. Panasonic will provide technical support, demonstrations, and expertise in developing learning programs worldwide.
