Classic Reviews The third James Bond action thriller to be filmed by Harry Saltzman and Albert R. Broccoli is even more wildly imaginative, terrifically exciting and elaborately scientific (in the tongue-in-cheek fashion audiences delight in), lavishly filmed against elegant backgrounds and amazingly sexy than the preceding "Dr. No" and "From Russia With Love," smash hits of 1963 and 1964, respectively. With Sean Connery, now one of the screen's top names, repeating his suave, imperturbable characterization of Agent 007, supported by two of Britain's most alluring actresses, this lurid adventure film seems destined to become one of UA's biggest "blockbusters" in the true sense of the word. The original Ian Fleming tale of a grandiose robbery attempt on Fort Knox by a sadistic millionaire named Goldfinger has been so cleverly directed at breakneck speed by Guy Hamilton that patrons scarcely have time to catch their breath between the fantastic dangers, killings and escapes, most of them completely unbelievable. While Connery is excellent and the corpulent Gert Frobe is an ideal villain, it is Honor Blackman, leading British TV star, as "Pussy Galore," and Shirley Eaton, who will set patrons talking about their charm and talent.

THE STORY:
< When the British Secret Service learns that a sadistic millionaire named Goldfinger (Gert Frobe) is suspected of smuggling England's gold reserves, Agent 007 (Sean Connery) is assigned to investigate him. In Florida, Connery catches Goldfinger's secretary, Shirley Eaton, aiding the millionaire to cheat at cards and, as a result, she is murdered by being covered with gold paint which closed her pores. Later, Connery follows Goldfinger to his hideout in the Swiss Alps, where he is drugged and flown across the Atlantic by a beautiful pilot Honor Blackman, who comes to admire the beautiful agent. With Honor's aid, Connery is able to thwart Goldfinger's incredible scheme to rob America's entire gold reserve from Fort Knox. Goldfinger escapes from Connery, but the U.S. Army counter-attacks and he is killed while Honor and Agent 007 parachute to safety from a crashing plane.

EXPLOITIPS:
Just mentioning that Sean Connery is starring in the third James Bond adventure thriller will attract the lovers of adventure fare. Use stills or blowups of Honor Blackman and Shirley Eaton, both glamorous and beautiful blondes.
