Director Richard Morris gives us a rare peek into the lives of two artists and lovers, Bertram Ross and John Wallowitch. Without being obtrusive, he lets the men and their talent speak for themselves.
Wallowitch and Ross perform together in a witty cabaret show, but the pair did not meet until mid-life. Before their lives intersected, each pursued his own craft. But, as this documentary makes apparent, their relationship has supported and fostered the growth of each man's work. Ross danced with Martha Graham for 25 years and now teaches dance classes as well as performing in the cabaret show. Wallowitch studied at Julliard, performed at Carnegie Hall and has composed over 1,000 songs. The cabaret act exhibits some of Wallowitch's witty songs, which range from very romantic to bitingly funny.    Starring Bertram Ross and John Wallowitch. Directed by Richard Morris. Produced by Roberta Morris-Purdee. A First Run release. Documentary. Unrated. Running time: 77 min.
