Wednesday Morning Update: 300: Rise Of An Empire struggled on Tuesday as it dropped 23% to 5,022 tweets, down from 6,509 tweets on Monday. Such a drop in a release week absent of any huge waning news like a late red band trailer, or viral campaign or something is never a good sign. Perhaps even more worrying is that the family friendly Peabody And Sherman has caught up to it despite a large part of their audience being non-Twitter users. I'm beginning to smell a disappointment in the making.
Mr. Peabody And Sherman had a decent bump to 4,950 tweets on Tuesday, up 21% from Monday's 4,081 tweets. By comparison, The LEGO Movie had 14,586 tweets its Tuesday before release.

Friday Morning Update: After a strong week of returns Non-Stop appears to be set to prevent The LEGO Movie from 4-peating atop the box office as we predict it will begin with $28.5 million over its first three days.
Equally impressive this week has been Son Of God which has handily beaten out Non-Stop in terms of buzz on Twitter. With a broader appeal and it having caught the eye of popular culture thanks to its cast and producers this should give it less bang for its buzz. Box Office is predicting $17.5 million for the religious tale by Sunday.

Thursday Morning Update: Guardians Of The Galaxy retained its lead on Wednesday thanks to its trailer once again, beating out the heavyweight that is The LEGO Movie for a second straight day. Captain Phillips got the largest bump in the top 15 but not from news it would welcome I imagine as two former U.S Marines were found dead aboard the same ship that is hijacked in the movies. Details are sketchy but the link between the tragedy and the movie was quickly made on Twitter and gave it a 300% increase in traffic.Read more

Thursday Morning Update: Robocop topped the list with over 46,000 tweets on the day. I think that the overall levels are massive enough to warrant an impressive opening six days. By comparison, I, Frankenstein didn't have 46,000 tweets for its entire Monday to Sunday period of its release week (it had 38,333). Look for $38 million by the end of the holiday weekend.
Endless Love dived 30% to 39,998 tweets on Wednesday. Yes its still raking in huge numbers but I think that this is a red flag that its numbers are being inflated by some very passionate fans. This confirms for me that it is going to have a hard time catching We are predicting $21 million through Monday
