- Insidious Chapter 2 continues to steamroll the competition as it nears its second weekend. The amazing overseas hauls have helped to boost numbers also especially in the UK where it secured the biggest opening day for a horror ever. While it might have 'only' ranked third amongst horror openings in North America on opening weekend it has surely re-written all the Twitter records and set a new god standard for the genre.
- A red band trailer for Machete Kills helped to propel it upwards on the day to 2,590 tweets. Not the biggest of jumps since its first teaser trailer generated over 20,000 tweets back in May. Still, its interest levels have been growing and with the recent spotlight being put on the Latino demographic after Instructions Not Included it will be interesting to gauge its opening weekend returns in relation to its tweet levels.
- Grace Of Monaco fell back to earth a bit after its trailer debut on Monday. Still the interest for the film was good to see and if award buzz favors it we could see it pop back up in the top 15 routinely.
